A short history of the champagne act

The first well-known burlesque performer to bring the champagne act to the center stage was Rita Atlanta in the 1950s. She became so famous with her champagne act that she became known as the “champagne girl”. She performed her act in nightclubs all over the United States, and the image of a woman in a champagne glass became so famous it was used for movie advertisements in the 1950s and 1960s.

In the late 1990s, Dita von Teese brought the champagne glass back. Dita created an iconic solo champagne act, but also crafted a duo act with Catherine D’lish. Dita has performed this act all over the world, using both a classical champagne glass but also a martini glass. In other words, the champagne act is here to stay.

The champagne glass is one of the most iconic burlesque acts, and you can find photos of women performing their variations as far back as the 1920s, ‘30s, and ‘40s. Fay was inspired by these images of stunning pin ups and dancers in their glasses and decided to create her own version of the classic act.

Een champagneglas act is een spectaculaire burlesque performance waarbij Fay Loren optreedt in of rondom een iconisch groot champagneglas. Deze act combineert glamour, sensualiteit en entertainment en is perfect voor luxe evenementen.
Deze act is te boeken als solo podium act of als act met showgirls.
Daarnaast is het champagneglas in te zetten voor een welkomstdrankje bij de entree, Fay schenk hierbij de gasten een heerlijk glaasje bubbels in.

Tijdens de act houd Fay een BH'tje en string aan. Maar als je durft kan het ook eindigen met tepelkwastjes ;-)
Neem contact op via het contactformulier en we sturen binnen 24 uur of Fay beschikbaar is met een prijsopgaven. Bij bevestiging vragen we een aanbetaling van 25%, na de boeking ontvangt u een factuur voor de overige 75%.

Op de dag zelf komt Fay samen met haar assistent 1,5 uur voor het optreden aan. In overleg kan het levensgrote Champagneglas ook eerder opgebouwd worden.
Het champagneglas past bijna altijd! Het glas bestaat uit meerdere delen en kan dus door iedere deur. Een podium van 4 x 4 meter is ideaal met een plafondhoogte van 3,5 m.
